AirBnB (or similar) anad your syndicate of co-ownership?
Short term rental
You have probably heard about the Québec government preparing a new legislation to recognize and integrate AirBnB (or any other web site dedicated to help people lease their home or a part of it) activities to the hotel world. Meaning that renters would be registered , taxes collected and specs imposted on these quasi-hotel rentals.
Now the question is: would this modify by any way our means of managing a syndicate of co-ownership?
Answer: Not at all. As long as the constituting act forbids any commercial activity in private portions of residential destinations (apartments) or better, that no lease can be granted on a residence for a period of less than "so many months", you shall be in control.
